As some of you might know, I'm currently in Paris to work here and I thought I'll let you have a look into my flat. I rented this place via Airbnb which I can definitely recommend if you want to be more independent or stay somewhere for a longer time.
I like living alone instead of sharing a model apartment with random girls I've probably never seen before. Of course, having a flat just for your own is a bit more expensive but the difference isn't that big that it would be worth considering sharing a place with other models.
My flat here is small and cosy with around 35sqm, but I'm in love with the little details and the look of it in general. Also, my landlady is a fashionista, she has so many designer boxes standing around and little details like the Jo Malone candles tell that she's definitely into fashion and cosmetics. The flat is located in the 17th district of Paris, very close to the metro station Malesherbes and the stunning Parc Monceau. Unfortunately it's raining since yesterday, otherwise I could have spend my free days in the park, but I enjoy staying home too since I'm walking through the whole city during the week.
To make myself feel more comfortable in a new flat, even if I'm just staying there for a month, I decorate everything with my stuff: I put books on the night table, place my cosmetics in the bathroom and light some candles to get an instant cosy feeling.
Do you have any rituals you use to make yourself feel at home at a place you didn't know before?
