The last year was so exciting, but also kept me very busy. I am currently reading some books about good time management and creativity to get some motivation on a daily basis. Also, I love reading real books (and not on my Kindle). I have the feeling that it's important for me to find my personal daily routine. My idea of how to handle my life as a student, model, blogger, dog-mum and housekeeper might need some improvement. I need to learn to prioritize and focus on things which are crucial for me. Do you have similar feelings? Here are some tips I find useful and want to share:
My goal is to book some uninterrupted time for doing creative work such as blogging or doing graphic design for my portfolio. Even this time should be structured, e.g.: 1 hour of brain storming, another one for making pictures, etc. Otherwise I'm getting distracted too much (I'm looking at you, Pinterest).
Since I started my blog in March, I am using Instagram on a daily basis. I love to share my moments with you, but I have a new rule: When I'm walking Mia, my phone stays home. Like this I got some time to enjoy nature and live in the moment. I remember the day when I went to Croatia last week and the Wifi wasn't working for almost a day. I felt nervous about it and realized how much I'm depending on the internet so now I want to change that.
I am trying to spend some time alone each day to do unnecessary things and calm my mind. Since it's getting colder already I will combine this with a relaxing bath in the evening using organic lavender oil I bought in the pharmacy.
Keep it clean.
As stupid as it sounds, I sometimes enjoy housekeeping because I don't have to think of what I'm doing. It gives my brain time to rest and refuel. Right now I also enjoy redecorating my flat a bit. Since autumn is coming soon, I'm stacking up a couple of candles as well as copper colored candle holders.
10 minutes of conscious breathing, starting today, will increase relaxation and help me to stay calm and relaxed. Let's see if I can do this without getting bored!
Keep the long view in view.
Write down every goal you have and start to prioritize. Try to make a timeline, you can't achieve everything in one day. If you're having more complex and long-term goals, write them on top of the list and put a note on your workspace so that you'll keep them in mind.
How about you, do you have something you use on a daily basis?
