If you are a regular reader of my blog, you might know that I am in Milan for modeling right now. It's incredibly hot here, the temperature goes up to 39C° which is quite a lot, so that's why my Make-Up routine is very, very minimalistic. It's also important for my job to look very natural, because clients prefer to see your bare face without anything on it when you go to castings.
Especially in the summertime it's crucial to stay hydrated on the inside and as well on the outside: Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm (3€) helps to nourish my lips. The handy form fits in every handbag and is a perfect on-the-go refreshment with its minty smell.
I'm not a big fan of perfumes, many of them smell too sweet on my skin after a while and many I find too obtrusive, but I recently discovered Acqua di Parma's classic scent Colonia (80€ for 50ml). The first fragrance of it was created in 1916 (!) but it totally smells up to date with very aromatic, fresh and spicy components.
After my day full of castings (or a shoot), I always take off my Make-Up, cleanse my face and pamper my skin with this nourishing almond face cream from Weleda (10€), which was currently introduced together with some other almond products like the shower gel which I haven't tried yet.
Sometimes, when I'm in the mood, I apply some blush before I go somewhere. My recent favorite is H&M's blush in Sweet Rose (4€). It's so subtle and very easy to apply, you can also layer it but I personally use only a very little bit of it.
Do you have any summer essentials you always take with you?
