Do you know the feeling when you have the urgent need to wear a special color to get in a certain mood? I'm so craving for spring now and I just feel like I have to wear Coral! I stumbled upon this little beauty here, the Go Tropicoral Lip and Cheek Kit from Benefit (30€).
It includes a mini version of the renowned subtle highlighter High Beam (4ml), a mango-tinted lip and cheek stain called ChaChaTint (4ml), an almost transparent, fruity-scented lipgloss and the Coralista Blush, which also smells great. In addition, there's also a little brush for the blush in it, but mine (in the picture above) is doing a much better job.
The packaging is super cute and lets you want to try all products at the same time (I also did that):
First, a little disappointment to me was the Coralista Lipgloss. I personally never wear lipgloss because I don't like the sticky feeling on my lips, so this opinion might be a little biased. It smells very fruity which I like, but it's almost transparent, even if it looks very orangey when it comes out of the tube. Second, it is sticky. Third, it doesn't last. I think it's worth using it until it's empty, but the gloss is really nothing special.
The Coralista Blush is one of the best smelling blushes I've ever used. I think the scent is a mix between the typical scent of Dextro Energy glucose, a raspberry and a mango. You can layer it because the opacity is very low so you can't overblush too easily. The pan is a little bit small so it might be a good idea to use a smaller brush to get an even application.
High Beam, probably one of the most famous highlighters ever, is liquid and has a light pink color. It keeps all his promises and gives you a healthy glow after application. It also blends very easily, you can even use your fingers for it. Especially in summer this product can be really nice, but I prefer to use very, very little of it because I don't like the super shiny, dewy look you often see on the red carpet (or on Instagram).
The ChaCha Tint, the little brother of Benetint, comes in a 4ml flask. You can use it for both cheeks and lips. Since I have a big crush on lip tints, I used the ChaCha Tint as a blush only once. The application felt weird since it started to stain pretty quickly. So if you want to use it on your cheeks without getting weird stains, hurry up! The application on the lips is much easier and I like the look of it much more. With only one layer you will get non-sticky, coral lips for a few hours.
In conclusion, I think this Lip and Cheek Kit is a very good start if you want to try some products from Benefit. There are also other versions with different lip tints, blushes and lip glosses available: Feeling Dandy, Sugarlicious and Rockitude.
How about you, do you have any experience with products from Benefit? Also if you want me to swatch the products for you, let me know.
